1. Install and first run
Download the extension, open a ChatGPT conversation, then open the extension popup. The extension may send a basic first-run event with version information so the site can count installs and diagnose adoption.
Documentation
This documentation covers the public product workflow: install the extension, export or save conversations, use the local library, activate a lifetime license, recover a lost license, and understand what data is sent to the licensing site.
Download the extension, open a ChatGPT conversation, then open the extension popup. The extension may send a basic first-run event with version information so the site can count installs and diagnose adoption.
Open the popup and choose Export chat. The extension reads the current ChatGPT conversation page and downloads the conversation in the selected format.
HTML is useful for readable archives. Markdown is useful for notes systems, writing workflows, and developer documentation. JSON is useful for structured backup/import workflows.
Saved chats are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. Use the Open Chats/library screen in the extension to review saved conversations.
On supported ChatGPT pages, right-click actions may include Open Chats, Export chat, Save chat, Export or Save selected content, Export JSON, and future ZIP or batch tools.
After buying a lifetime license, enter the license key and the email used at purchase. The licensing server checks the key, purchase email, device hash, activation limit, and license status.
If the popup or settings page says Pro is inactive, use the Verify or Re-check action. License checks send the license key, purchase email where required, a device hash, and extension version. They do not send saved chat content.
If you lose your key, use license recovery with your purchase email. Since raw license keys are not stored, recovery may generate a replacement key and invalidate the old raw key.
If an export fails, confirm you are on a ChatGPT conversation page, refresh the tab, and try again. Very large conversations may export slowly. If ZIP fails due to size, try HTML or Markdown first.
